Simultaneity, as a concept, emerged from the artist's migration, from her transnational experience, but also as part of the disparate experiences of life in different parts of Los Angeles and crossing daily back and forth from one to another neighborhood in the city. Simultaneity can be experienced by anyone as they make sense of the world in two or more languages, or translate two or more technologies or cultural frameworks, or imagine living in multiple temporalities at once.
